What kind of power steering fluid goes in a 1992 Mercedes Benz 400E?
When I say I have a place to buy or, I mean I am willing to buy or synthetic non-specific synthetic Mercedes-Benz power steering fluid. Just need to know what is specific for my vehicle. Synthetic or non synthetic? Only respond if you know it. I have a place to buy either one, but I do not know what it is.
You could go to your local MB dealer and ask for the power steering fluid could use Amsoil MB or power steering fluid. 300SE I have two (1988 and 1989). I use the same liquid that I put in my transmission Shell Merc / Dex III. Shell is the original manufacturer for the MB power steering fluid. In 2001 the E-Class owner's manual, MB says Power Steering Fluid (000 989 88 03). However, in the Factory Approved Service Products released in November 2001, which reads: E-Class MB Power Steering Fluid MB part no. 000 989 88 03 or an approved dextronic III ATF Also, if you are a DIY'er I would recommend investing in one of the manuals (last link below) Bentley publishers. I myself have used the Bible's owner (obtained from my local library) and is a great resource.
