How do I change to black cherry finish, black / brown or espresso?
I have a brand new solid wood furniture dark cherry finish. I want a darker shade like black finish, black / brown or espresso. Is there a way to achieve this w / o any sanding? Thank you very much for any response.
If you want the wood grain to remain visible, you have no choice but to sand down so it can re-cover it. Otherwise, the clear coat finish will prevent the stain from penetrating into the wood.
