Why 3D glasses make you feel weird?

Every time I wear 3D glasses in the cinema, I'm fine. But when I buy the DVD, and then see it with the crappy I feel funny 3D glasses. Every time I put them is a strange feeling, and feels as if you tickle. Then I'll take them off, and it feels as if been wearing sunglasses for a few hours left white marks around the face, and I see everything in red and blue. It's something I can not explain. What about you?
