How can the house classic grape jelly? I have about 30 pounds of grapes had collected from our grape vines. I need a good classic recipe!
Classic Grape Jam 5 pounds of Concord grapes, skins removed and boneless 1 / 2 cup water 1 (3 oz) package pectin 3 / 4 teaspoon unsalted butter 8 cups sugar 1 cup Concord grape juice grapes Simmer in water, bring to a boil and then lower fire. Simmer for 20 minutes. Combine the grapes, grape juice and half the sugar in a pan and let stand for 1 hour. After 1 hour, add sugar Left and place the pot in a medium-high heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Bring the mixture to boil for two minutes. Remove from heat and remove the foam that accumulates. Place the pan over the fire again to boil for 1 minute. Again, remove and remove the foam. Add butter and bring to boil again. Add pectin and stir constantly. Boil for 1 minute. Remove the foam. Allow the jam to cool for 7 minutes before adding it to canning jars. Close jars and water bath at 250 degrees for 10 minutes to create a seal. Chef V ~ ~
